Mission accomplished
We did it. We got The Grub Street Journal to the printers and they’ve sent it back. Mission accomplished as Dubya once said... and I guess we’re about as done as he was.
Every box stacked up in the corner of our living room contains multiple copies of The Don Quixote Issue of The Grub Street Journal, 68 magazine pages about magazines.
Now we just need to start mailing them, a quarter to the wonderful people who preordered, the rest just as soon as we can sell them.
If you preordered, thank you, we’ll start mailing on Monday and you should have your copy this week, at least here in the UK.
If not and you want to help us empty the rest of those boxes, order at grubstreetjournal.com if you’re in the UK and at Newsstand.co.uk if you’re anywhere else.
Here’s a wee peek at what’s in the boxes.

Now that the first issue is done, we’re planning on putting the Magazine Diaries newsletter back on a weekly footing and next week we’ll be talking about Sara’s bonkers ‘Don Quixote’ cover. Tell your friends.
And finally, we’ve made a special Spotify playlist for The Don Quixote Issue… the ‘Fools & Dreamers’ lineup is dedicated to all you wonderful idiots still making magazines 💜
